This beauty comes from my oracle deck, Indigo Angel by Doreen and Charles Virtue. For some reason I felt like drawing two cards today, so here we go!

Explore~

“This card asks you to experiment with your approach to the situation you’re inquiring about. Your powerful Indigo energy will work for you instead of against you, if you shift your mood and energy. This card also asks you to be open minded when thinking about your place in this world. If you feel guided to go in a certain direction in life, then give it a try. And remember there’s nothing wrong with changing your mind or the course of your live. Opinions change as knowledge broadens”.

Well if this one ain’t a mirror image of the power card I drew prior. Clearly these lessons of trusting my gut, letting go of old programming, and being okay with changing courses in my life is something that is going to be a reoccurring theme. One thing that really sticks out to me is being open minded about my place in this world. I hear often (and can attest to this) that people my age, the “millennials” are doing everything “wrong” according to our parent’s generation. We’re not buying houses or cars, we’re not buying engagement rings, and we’re obsessed with our pets in a nutshell. A lot of us are in TONS of student loan debt, and can barely afford to live without room mates, and some of us are five or six years into our careers and are stagnant in this cycle of debt and anxiety surrounding how we’re going to make it in the future when things seem to be so bleak. I think it’s because a lot of us (me) are obsessed with this one track mindset. This degree gets you this job, and that degree gets you that job. We look for things in our comfort zone because we have no other choice but to choose the safe option to keep our heads afloat. We wonder if our education is really worth all of the debt. But what if we did have a different option? We do.  We all do, millennials and baby boomers; there is always a different option. It might not be the easiest option, or the least expensive or time consuming, but the option is there. We need to let go of these preconcieved notions that we only have one track in life, and that our worth is predicated on our education. In order to get out of this anxiety inducing circle, we need to think out of the box.

It is okay to change your mind. The more you know, the more informed your opinions are, and the more diverse your options tend to be.
