Dalmatian stone is a predominately quartz and feldspar stone, with its “spots” being black tourmaline or other inclusions dependent on the formation area. This crystal is often called Dalmatian jasper, but it actually is not a jasper at all. It is an igneous rock, looking similar to granite with a higher felsic content. It is often dyed different colors and makes a great tumbled stone or bead for jewelry.
Metaphysically, Dalmatian stone can bring back some fun and laughter into your life. It works with the base and sacral chakras to allow you to feel grounded so you can enjoy the little things in life. Some say that it can help with quitting smoking (although I haven’t figured this out personally). As you would think from its name, it can actually be useful in calming and training dogs- this explains why my labradoodle is always trying to get at my stones I guess- So this stone seems to be a sort of one stop shop for metaphysical healing properties. Have you had any great experiences with your Dalmatian stone?
