Opalite

One of my favorites! Opalite is actually not a natural crystal at all. It is a man-made synthetic glass, but it makes beautiful tumbled pieces and comes mostly in clear colors. Often it will have a milky appearance and sometimes have iridescent shine much like my little specimen here. Because it is man made, I won’t go into any mineralogical stuff. We will go straight to the fun stuff-the metaphysical properties.

Opalite is associated with the third eye chakra, and is a great stone for meditation. It is a great stone to have around during times of transition, and can give you clarity of your true feelings. It has also been said to aid in sexual experiences and stabilizing mood. On the physical level it has been known to purify the blood and kidneys! Not only does it have all of these awesome properties it is often made into jewelry and figurines. I can completely attest to its emotional powers, as I have used it on multiple occasions for times I needed clarity. When I meditate with it, I often am able to visualize what I truly want not what I think I want.
